WE DO NOT OFFER A TOY RESERVATION SERVICE

YOU ARE WELCOME TO BROWSE THE ONLINE CATALOGUE. HOWEVER, WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE WE WILL BE ABLE TO LOCATE EVERY SPECIFIC TOY YOU WOULD LIKE TO BORROW, BUT WE WILL TRY OUR BEST.

9.30am - 11am 

Up to 15 toys a month are free to borrow with proof of any benefits received 

Otherwise a £20 annual fee

Toys suitable for 0 - 5 years

Please bring address ID in order to sign up

Parking Available and we are situated on the number 2 bus route from Reading. 

Cash only. There is a cashpoint nearby. 


At Mortimer and Burghfield Toy Library, we believe in the joy of play for every child and the power of sharing resources in our community. Our toy library offers a wide selection of high-quality, age-appropriate toys, games, and puzzles that families can borrow, much like books from a traditional library.


What We Offer

We cater to children from newborn to age 5, providing:

By borrowing instead of buying, families can introduce their children to new experiences without the cost and clutter of owning every toy.

How It Works

1. Membership: Join the library for a small annual fee, which helps us maintain and expand our collection.

2. Browse & Borrow: Browse our catalog online for an idea of what we can offer and then visit us in person to chose and borrow toys 

3. Play & Return: Enjoy the toys for one month, then return them to exchange for something new!
